A family safari should be fun for every age. We plan shorter days, active stops and lodges that welcome children, across Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and the Maasai Mara.

Family Safari FAQs
What age can children go on safari?

Children of all ages can join a road safari, but some lodges and activities set minimum ages. We check these before we book anything.

Are the game drives too long for children?

We plan early morning and late afternoon drives with rest at the lodge in between. Your guide can stop for breaks and shorten a drive if children get tired.

Do lodges have family rooms?

Many do, with family or connecting rooms. Tell us your children’s ages when you ask for a quote and we will choose lodges that fit.

Do children pay less?

Many lodges offer reduced rates for children, and the rules change from lodge to lodge. Your quote shows the exact rate.

Is a safari safe for children?

Yes, with the right rules. Children stay inside the vehicle where parks require it, and parents stay responsible for them. Your guide explains the rules on day one.
